Swimming

Diving into the pool my body was shaking and I felt like getting out. Seconds  later I felt warm so I stayed inside the pool. The first task Miss king told us to do was to practice kicking. She made us to practice kicking for about one minute. I hated doing that because if anyone touched the ground then she will start the one minutes again. So two people were tired and they touched the ground. We had to do that for about three minutes. Then the last time everyone did it really well.

After finishing the task Miss king told us to get into groups of 4. So Me, Dante, Sesalina and Senolita got in to groups. We quickly got into a straight line. Miss king gave us a point for being the first organised group. We were so happy because we knew that we were going to win. When everyone was quite then Miss King told us the Instruction for what we were going to do. After she finished explaining our group got organised to see who was going first, second, third and forth. We all were ready and I had to start first. "GO," Miss King yelled. We quickly worked together to get to first place. I swam down there legs and got back up. Our team was in the lead and our group won by miles. So we got another point and we had two altogether and we won.

Swimming has been great so far I have enjoyed every bit of it. I also want to thanks all the people to payed for our swimming lesson. We wouldn't have this good experience. I also want to thank Miss King for Teaching us how to swim.

Frist day at school

My first day of school

As I got to the gates of Pt England school there were many feelings running down my body. Sweat was running down my head and I didn't want to enter because I didn't know where to go and what to do. But then I had no choice so I just went. A few steps later this girl came up to me and asked me if I have been here before and I said no. So she took me around the school and showed me where the office,Library, playground and courts were.

The first bell rang so we went back to the gates and waited for her friends to come then we went to the hall and sat at the back. Finally the second bell rang and assemble started first I didn't know that Mr burt was the principal because all the schools I went to had ladies as the principal. Then we had to sing songs but I didn't know the lyrics to it so I didn’t sing. Then Mr Burt said “ If you are a year 8 please stand” I stood up and I had butterflies in my tummy I did not know what he would say next. Then he told us to go to the street I did not know where the street was so I just followed the others.

Walking into the street with eyes looking at me there was sweat coming down my face. As I sat down I was so frightened I wanted to be in the same class as the girl that showed me around but then Mrs Nua called out the names for room 15 I was so scared I didn't know what to do each name she said I was getting very nervous until she said the people that I called to follow miss king I relief but then suddenly mrs Nua asked who Kimberly was so I putted my hand up she told me to follow miss King to I was so shy I didn't know what to do.

Getting past the big crowd of children walking from the street to room 15 I was so scared. as I entered  people were just staring and that made me even more nervous. Just sitting at the back by myself I had heaps of sad feelings. Then Miss King told us to do a task with a group I didn't know what to do cause I didn't know anyone to go with. Then thats when Turuhira and Dante asked me if I wanted to be with them and I said yes. We started to plan what we were going to film. It was really cool and really funny. Then we finished our planning and started to film. It was really cool because it was my first time I have ever been in front of a  camera at school. At first we kept on getting it wrong and we kept on laughing about it. But then we got serious so we can finish our filming.

That is how me and my friends became best friends from the beginning of the year till the end of the year through good times and bad times. I would never want to split from my friends they are like my family.That was a my very fun first day of Point England school I wish that day will repeat. How did you feel on your first day?.

India sends rocket to Mars

                                          

India sends spacecraft to Mars

In India they have started their first spacecraft to Mars. Their hoping that the spacecraft will reach Mars safety. They planned to send the spacecraft to travel 300 days. The rocket had lifted off on Tuesday the 5th of November and it should reach mars  in September 2014.

People are asking whether  India should be spending $130 million on a space rocket when their country is one of the highest position for childhood malnutrition in the world.  We think that India should not have paid $130 million dollars just for a space rocket when their are many children that needs to be feed.

If their plan succeeds then India will be the fourth space agency to reach Mars.  What will you choose, spend $130 million on a spacecraft or save more children from dying of hunger?.
