Kimberly Cuboid

We had to build our own cuboid out of paper because there was no-more cardboard. It was a big experience at measuring and finding out how things can be equal.

This is a 2D cube the length is 14cm and the width id 4cm so if we multiply the 14cm and the 4 cm we will get 56cm2.

 The next one id a 3D shape the width of this 3D shape is 3cm3.

 The length of this shape is 4cm3.

The height of this 3D shape is 14cm3.

So if we multiply the width of the 3D shape, The length of the 3D shape and also the height of the 3D shape. So that will be 14cmx3cmx14cm = 588.

Independent and Dependent Clause

This is a movie that my friend Turuhira and me made. We found out about Independent and Dependent Clause. It was a big experienced, for Turuhira and Me throughout our learning.

The giant hamburger

It was a fine afternoon and Lizzy was feeling very hungry. While walking along the street, she saw a restaurant called  king of  burgers. “What could be in there?” Lizzy asked herself. Opening the door, she walked inside and saw a giant hamburger sitting on the counter.

Ding ding Lizzy rang the bell that was on the counter. A man showed up and asked “What would you like” Lizzy was looking at the menu and said “ Can I just have a hamburger please” lIzzy paid the amount of  money that she needed to pay. Then she went to sit on a table and waited. She was waiting for along time. She didn’t know why the man was taking very long. 30 minutes later the man came out with a  giant hamburger on a plate, lizzy was staring at the giant burger.  She was so shocked at how big the burger was it had  fat buns with 3 packets of cheese and 3 huge patties. she was trying to take a bite but she didn't know where start. Lizzy was so hungry so she just took a bite of the burger and she thought it was yuck so she went out.......

Diabetes is diagnosed when a person has too much sugar in their blood. This happens when the pancreas does not make enough insulin.

Diabetes is the result of the body not making enough insulin to keep the blood glucose levels  normal . 

The main similarities betweenType 1 and Type 2 Diabetes are....

                                

type 1 and type 2 diabetes both need insulin. Insulin acts like a key to open the door so the pancreas can go in and feed the cell. When blood does not get much insulin as needed then the pancreas won’t be able to feed the cell. if you do not feed the cell then the cell will get small and then you will start get type 1 or type 2 diabetes.  

The differences between Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes are

Type 1 diabetes is a when a person does not have enough insulin inside their body. people tend to lose weight very quickly. When you have type 1 diabetes you have to have a lot of injections a day but in different places on your body.

type 2 diabetes is when  a person is still making  insulin but the production is sluggish. Many people have had this diabetes even teenages can get this.

 what do diabetics do to manage their illness...

most people do physical activities to keep their diabetes low. Some people even try to eat healthy food.   

The risk factors for developing Type 2 Diabetes

The risk factor for developing type 2 diabetes is people eating too much unhealthy food and getting fat and not doing any physical activities.

 

The main health risks for people who develop Type 2 Diabetes

  people might have heart attacks, kidney failure,blindness, poor circulation  

Summarise, conclude your findings on diabetes 

Finding facts for diabetes has taught me a lot because i mostly eat lollies in the morning so i will try to eat healthy so i won’t put my life in danger.

Making Icecream

Equipment + Ingredients

1/2 cup

1/2 teaspoon

4 cups

4 teaspoon

small zip lock bags

large size zip loc bag

a hand towel or gloves to keep fingers from freezing as well

milk

vanilla

sugar

ice

Methodology

1. mix 1/2 cup of milk, 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla essence, 1 tablespoon of sugar in the small zip-loc bag.seal bag tight so nothing will come out.

2. mix 4 cups of crushed ice with 4 tablespoons of salt into one large zip-loc bag

3. Then put the small zip-loc bag into the large zip-loc bag with the ice and make sure the small zip loc bag is really tight.

4. seal the large zip-loc bag tightly and shake the bags for about 15 minutes.

Outcome

Then you will have home made ice cream.
